Alvord-Taylor offers a variety of full- and part-time employment opportunities assisting adults with disabilities. The agency provides support to people through our Residential Programs, Independent Living Program, Supported Living Program and our Alternative to Employment Program. All programs are located in the Eugene-Springfield area. Alvord-Taylor provides wonderful opportunities to gain skills that can help employees succeed in social services.

We do not accept incomplete applications. You must respond to all emails sent from the hiring team within three (3) business days in order to be considered for employment. New hires are expected to fill open shifts, which could be day shifts, swing shifts or overnight shifts. To see examples of shifts click on the link above. Once you have completed 90 days in your assigned shift you are able to bid on other open shifts.
Qualified applicants will be contacted, typically within three business day, to scheduled for an interview. We hold interviews at least weekly. These interviews are in a group setting and may last up to two hours.
Following the interview, applicants who are chosen to move forward will be asked to schedule Pre-Hire Visits, which involve visiting two of our programs to be evaluated by a supervisor and the people we support.
Applicants who complete Pre-Hire Visits and are approved will be expected to complete employment paperwork, and then scheduled to begin our Employee Training Program.
Our Employee Training Program includes two consecutive weeks of mandatory classroom instruction (9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday) and ninety days of on-the-job training. Training may include, but is not limited to, behavioral management, medication administration, money management, data entry, CPR/First Aid and much more.We will expect you to attend each and every class when scheduled as this is essential in your success as an employee of Alvord-Taylor.
